In DE server, while I was inside crystalline caves with event "magic storm" on - my armor was breaking (I had to repair a battle satchel for 10g).

The whole event is bugged and everyone is complaining about it, i think it's time admins start to listen to players instead of, you know, listening to one person who doesn't even play the game anymore.
