Why is there only a few strong clans on each side in game? What do you think is the right culture a clan should have to grow and be competitive on a long run?

There are a few aspects to this. All of them decide whether a player wants to be a part of a specific clan or not depending on the things that clan provides which is the main source of a clan's strength, the players. They could be named such as:
1) The help a player receives in that clan regarding quests, items, money, fights
2) Probability of having a team to do things together (like battlefields, instances etc.) with players there
3) The Prestige of that clan, the clan doing well in certain events or being known for something, having fame or infamy that attracts people.
But most importantly, it all comes down to one thing, one simple thing that existed since the dawn of mankind: Power. Everyone wants to be able to make others do or don't do something because there's that one clan's logo next to their name which everyone wants to stay away from. Everyone wants to make sure nobody will mess with them because of that power, nobody will be able to say "no" to them. That's what makes MIB the strongest human clan for example. Everyone wants a piece of that power of dictating their own ways on others. That's why there has been same race wars between clans since forever. Players attacking each other for no reason, clans fighting for days, both of them getting weaker and one being the triumphant in the process. Players who have nothing to do with some high level players' agendas getting bored and leaving the game or getting even more ambitious and trying to make their clan the better one because of this.
These are the reasons so far. What about my personal take on how a clan should be if its goal is to keep growing and be competent?
Same of all I listed above with one slight difference. If players in a clan are getting the help they look for and if they help others, if the clan can sustain a group of players in the same level moving together, if the clan has its own fame for always taking part in events and making sure its name is heard for example, or having the infamy of damaging enemy race no matter who or what they are without taking anything personal, just making sure the enemy stays behind, that clan will stick around. It won't be in top 3 of that race, let's say, but it will stay. What makes a clan strong in the long run is its use of power. Sure, anyone can attack others who don't listen to them, everyone can show others that they have the biggest magic wand (you know what I mean) in all of faeo, but that will cost them and their clan being strong/relevant for a long time. They'll be gone because they'll lose the respect and support they had. We've seen its example before. But if the clans with more power than others use that power to protect the ones in their race, help their own members in fights against enemy race instead of throwing them in the harm's way by saying "We're fighting our own race, go attack them" and making them waste their effects & negative effects for no reason, if they use that power to make sure weaker players aren't attacked by players stronger than them just to compensate for something they don't have in real life, then this clan will be strong in the long run. It'll have new blood wanting to join them because they're fair and helpful or whenever they want to be a pain in the butts of the enemy race, the clan will be there. The old ones won't be leaving because the clan is looking after them and making sure they get the help with whatever they're working on and help the new ones themselves. That way both the old ones and the new ones will grow together, they will get stronger together and when there's a competitive event, they will take part in it together. That might not make them achieve greatness, but it will surely help them be one step ahead of others in the long run.

It's better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. What's even better is to weaponize your words to destroy anyone who dares challenge you.
Most clans focus on getting strong players and those that do this are usually the ones that compete the most...
But I believe a clan be strong with a right ideal.Members should seek clan's best interests while clan members should look after another... many good clans lack this and for that reason their lifespans arent that long... most leave or dont care about other clannies resulting organisation issues, dead clans and mostly weak clans...
A true clan seeks to improove its members since what makes a clan strong is their members as listed by others above.
