It is said that as soon as the first snow fell, the children made a snowman out of it, and so that it wouldn't be cold during the freezing night, they put a hat and scarf on it. When the snowman was finished, the children gave him a broom, so that he would sweep the snow from the paths. But the snowman turned out to be lazy

He was much happier wandering about among the houses and looking in the windows to see how the people of Faeo were celebrating New Year. But the magic of the holiday touched the inquisitive snowman, and he was turned into a soft toy. Now children and adults are happy to receive him in their homes, closer to the warmth, and listen to his merry, mysterious tales about the snow.
