Talens are bonuses you can get through various ways,1 colums is based on your char lvl ,2nd colums is based on your valor ranks and 3rd one an be acquired through Iou,Mirror event,or Merchant Marks.In order to lvl up *(improve) a talent a number of crystal of truths is required(earned through hunting while on the effect of eye of truth) or bought in ah for silver(also in premium shop for diamonds),You are only allowed to improve a talent a certain times within a lvl.For e.g if you take the Trauma skill in 1st column,you arent allowed to improve it without being lvl 7.this can be taken at lvl 6 but you cannot improve it untill you;re lvl 7.To access Talents simply go to combat skills in your inventory *character sheet* and you;ll see it next to super blows.Even if you by "accident" pick the wrong talent it can be fixed,you can reset all skills again (1st time free) then you can reset it by paying 7 travel stones (bought with Iou or earned in Uruchi sacks).

Talents are perk-like selectable advantages that every warrior can find under his backpack under combat skills ----> talents.

First of all there are two kinds of talents, the ones you recieve by achieving a certain valor rank or level.

And the ones that you can learn by reading books that are as example, bought with tokens in the exchange shop, won in games or bought at the fair, they have no other requirement than sometimes luck, a Lot of money and patience.

So now you notice that one field of talents has become selectable for you after meeting its requirements, but dont jump in the air of joy yet as you do not recieve all 2/3 talents displayed but you have to carefully choose with skill you want to select as only one of the 2/3 can be activated at a time.
Of course your choice can be undone but this, as so often in this game, isn't free and comes with a fee so try to make a wise decision warrior.

Upgrading talents,
Thus far talents have the unique ability to be upgraded from their standard level 1 up to a level 5 talent which will significantly increase its effects.
In order to do so you will need to do the following:

For the upgrading of normal talents, aka. ones that do not require you to obtain their Volumes but the ones you gain by achieving level and rank, they are upgraded using crystals of truth, a resource found by killing monsters while under the effect of "Divination" which is easily obtained by buying a the "eye of truth" for 77s in the city shop. The effect can be cast for 1 hour a day and will help you obtain the crystals of truth.
If you are too lazy or want to save exp you can also just buy them in the auction as they are perfectly transferable and sellable in the auction.
Side note: You will need increasingly high amounts of crystals to upgrade a talent to its highest level.

Now for the Volume Talents:
These ones "only" require you to obtain the following volume to read and upgrade them, lets say you read the Volume 1 of a talent you will need to obtain the Volume 2 next.
Important!! : You must read them in order and start with number 1, incase you obtain a Volume 5 you wont be able to read it until youve read the prequels 1-4.

This is about everything to say to Talents, some are more, some are less useful, but as they add a nice passive boost to your account and arent always hard to come by they can be just what you needed to push that enemy over the edge and win the fight.

Talents can be found at:
Backpack > Combat Skills > Talents

As seen there there is 3 vertical rows specifying the 3 different groups and ways they can be obtained:

Group N1 - Achieved by level - Access open for everyone upon reaching the certain lvl written under the 'blocked' talent.
Group N2 - Achieved by rank - Access open for everyone upon reaching the certain valour rank written under the 'blocked' talent.
Group N3 - Achieved by folio - Access open for everyone upon reaching the certain folio written under the 'blocked' talent.

Choice of talent:
Each group of talents has sub-groups. Each sub-group allow players to choose only 1 of either 2 or 3 available talents.

Upgrade of talents:

Upgrade of talents can reach up to lvl 5 talent. No special level required for upgrades as long as you have got the stage 1 of the talent already
Upgrade of talents can be done with Crystals of Truth which can be received under the effect of Eye of Truth during hunting monsters.
Eye of Truth can be bought at city shop under Temporary stenghtening or in Estates (for players above lvl 5)

Note: There is a weekly recurring quest named Eye of Truth gift availavle for players above lvl 5 that gives one amulet free. Hall of training > Trainer Vaeron (for magmars).

Note 2: Upgrade of Group N3 talents can be done only if the player already purchased therequired folios.
Eaxmple: Player can not upgrade talents if they bought only Volume I. They must have the next one (Volume II) in order to upgrade with Crystals of Truth.

Folios for talents of Group N3:
Folios can be bought or won/earned during special events of Faeo. Such as Trading Journey Across the Seven Seas, Magic Mirrors, City Fairs and more.

Reset of talents:
On the bottom of the talents there is a red colored button saying "Reset talents". In order to do that you will need 7 pcs of Travel Stone.

Note: When reseting the talents you will not receive back the Crystals of Truth you have used previously to upgrade some talents.

Briefly speaking, you can find talents in Backpack -> Combat Skills -> Talents.

Talents are a variety of feats, which can give you extra attributes and bonus.

There're three series, one needs level to unlock, another needs rank, the third needs books from events.

There're several choices in a talent. After you unlock a talent and choose a specific one, you can upgrade it.

For the talents from first two series, you need Crystals of Truth to upgrade it, for the third one, you need high quality books from events. You can obtain crystals of truth by hunting monsters when under the effect of Eye of Truth. You can buy the eye of truth from city shop, or obtain a free one every week from the npc in the city arena (after you finish a quest). And you can also buy the crystals of truth with diamonds in the bank shop.
