About Resins - Unbreakable Items

Resins are special items which upon appying will make your amors, bows, tools, belts, rings, bags or amulets unbreakable.

Armor resins are purchased for the appropriate city reputation in the shop at Daylight Square/Square of Fire.
Bow resins can be gotten from exchange tent using the appropriate Archer Token.
Tool resins are sold during City Fairs for premium diamonds.
Belt, ring, amulet and bag resins should be sold eventually in Premium Shop for diamonds.

Resins come in different varieties to match the different armor parts and importantly for different colored items. That is you cannot use a green resin on a purple armor for example. Applications of resins to an item will also result in the following:

Make the item non-transferable
Allow the use of scroll of destruction and crushing on the item. However the original strength of the armor before conversion still factors in chance to get crystals.
Retain all runes and bezels.
Allows the addition of new runes and bezels.
Can still be converted to shadow armor (big assumption here)

Important: Are you thinking that making your armor unbreakable might cause your breakable pieces to take all damage?? THAT IS FALSE!!!!
The game will still try to break those unbreakable armor each time you die like the below example:

10:18 Some of your items have been damaged: Ring of Strong Oppression (-1), Medium Closed Quiver (-1).
10:18 Unbreakable items did not lose their strength: Contrition Battle Axe, Contrition Boots, Contrition Cuirass

Resins are therefore a great addition to the game that allows you to reduce or eliminate the expenses of repairs. The only factor to consider is if you wish to resale your items in the future or not.

PS: Please do not moan about "paypallers" being able to buy certain resins here. We already heard all the whining before and none of it ever makes any sense.

That is good to know.

So if I understand you correctly, If I have 7 pieces of unbreakable armor and 2 red weapons/shield, it does not make for a surety that only the red items will lose durability when you die?

Hopefully once they bring belt resins, you'll see more active BFs as from what I understand, that's the main reason most people don't queue unless there's a non-break event.
I'm almost always in chaotic at least once a day and I'd love to see 20v20 fights or something like that :cool:

Belt Resin will probably be diamonds. Then they will whine they can't buy it. Im a death junkie and even I couldn't destroy this belt which cost a measly 75s to repair. I didnt buy my first warrior belt till late lvl10 and thats only 1.5g to repair. Less than the crap like chest most people waste money on. If the 1.5g is that big a detterent then use wanderer and discard when 0/10. To think belts use to cost twice as much to repair and people still cant be appeased .well:

belt resins won't fix anything...

Birtches will whine because their rings and amulets break, there's no way to appease the no damage ninja crowd. They cry as much as the naked hunters.

Didnt notice the removed city shop tab. Well no big lost :lol:

Game revolves around non-break days so was never a massive uptake of resins it seems. But maybe we can get them incorporated into some battlefield event rewards to get people to actually work for them if they can't or don't wish to work for them in real life dollars.

Need Clarification on the Resins

Ring Resin

Suitable for strengthening unique items. Can be used on contaminated rings or gnome rings.

What exactly does Contaminated rings mean? what about unique rings such as iron 5, balthzar purple ring series, and ephermal rings?

Also the belt resin specifically mentions 3 type of green belts, does that mean other quest reward belt such as pirate belt, ephmeral belt, and warlord's belt work as well?

can anyone confirm? thanks!

should add resins that are purchased with gold, it seems unfair that only 2 diamonds can not buy and spare belts 50 golds, at least 30-50-100 gold should sell them but I do not care that is accessible to all

I spend 100 gold on 2 belts but others only have to spend 5 diamond? it seems unfair

Also the belt resin doesn't work on Warlords belt....

All have to spend 100g once. The best decision after that is to rob a bank for the 10 diamonds to paypal for the resins :lol:

Okay 10 diamonds to remove the headache of belt repairs is not a fortune for most. I can sympathise with those who absolutely cannot paypal but there is no need to rush to judgement. If you been playing this game long enough then you know most things that were the domain of "paypal" get an alternative eventually. It wasn't so long ago that most of the reputations we take for granted now were impossible without mortaging a house. Give it time.
