Pets are small, amusing animals that have magical abilities. They provide a knight with significant support during long battles with vicious enemies, and all that they request in return is kindness and a little treat. The pets are not large, so they can fit easily in their favorite place - their master's shoulder.

Obtaining pets |
|
Two beautiful girls are in charge of breeding and training pets: Sweet Mila from the Village of Kingala and Bonna Benita from the Village of Angriyar. They have set up nurseries in which you can acquire pets that require a certain level of influence or reputation. In the Exchange Tents at the City Fairs you can purchase pets for Merchant Marks those pets can also be found in Precious Chests. Some pets can be purchased at the Trade Fair. A wide selection of different pets is also available in the Premium Shop. The details of where to obtain different pets can be found here.
|
Pets interface |
|
After you bought a pet amulet, you need to use it and then your pet will appear in the pet section of your backpack
To manage the pets you already own, go to the Pets tab in your backpack. On the left hand-side of the Pets screen there will be a list of all your pets.
By using the button Call your pet will appear on the left side of your character profile. It is now ready to join your fights and will help you during tough battles. You can release your pet if you don't need it or if you want to choose another one.
The summoned pet can also be released (and summoned again) by using the paw button next to your character's image in the top left corner of the game screen.
Wounded pets, pets that are on a task in the Ranger Camp and pets that are training in the estate's Nursery cannot be summoned.
Clicking on any of the pets on the list will display detailed information about it in the central part of the screen.
At the top there will be the pet's name. The name can be changed – first time for free, each next time for 1.
Below the name, you can see the pet amulet's image, pet's level, status, how much feed it needs to participate in battle and an experience bar showing the pet's current experience and experience required for the next level.
To the right there is a button which allows you to improve pets.
The Equipment tab below shows the pet's class, additional skills and talismans, all of which are important when sending pets to quests in the Ranger Camp. You can also switch to the Capabilities tab, which shows different skills your pet will use in battle, it also gives information on the average frequency of the capability use.
|
Experience |
|
By fighting alongside their masters, the pets increase their level, receiving 10% of the experience gained by their owner in combat. This does not reduce the master's experience. If the pet's level is equal to the level of the owner, the pet will not gain experience.
The amount of experience received by pets in combat can be increased:
Pet's experience can also be increased with the help of Essence of Forest Wisdom, which can be received by completing the recurring tasks of the Pet Patrons, when using Alchemic Wisdom Cube (1-3 Essences per day). It can also be purchased at the Trade Fair and in the Premium Shop (if you have the Premium Account level 3 or higher). During the March seasonal event, it is also possible to purchase a stronger essence: Essence of Spring Forest.
Training in the Nursery in your estate will also increase your pet's experience.
|
Feed |
|
For each battle in which your pet participates, it will consume a certain amount of special feed.
The amount of feed consumed by the pet depends on the pet's level. If at the beginning of a fight you do not have enough feed in your backpack, your pet will not participate in the fight.
|
Combat abilities |
|
In battle, the pet does not deal direct damage to the enemy. Instead, it helps its owner by using various effects.
All pets have the same list of combat abilities. The higher the pet's level, the more different effects become available. The maximum number of abilities a pet can have is 11 – but two of them are available only if the pet's owner has the Medal of Worship of the Pet Patrons. The strength of the effects used by pets depends on the pets' level and colour.
The frequency of the combat abilities' use depends on the difference in the level of the pet and its owner. If the pet is on the same level as the owner, it will use the abilities on average every 7 turns. As the differentce in levels increases, the average frequency of use of the abilities decreases by 1 per each level.
The frequency can also be increased if the pet is rested. It takes 6 days 12 hours for a pet to be fully rested – any interruptions, such as summoining the pet or sending it to a quest in Ranger Camp, will interrupt the rest. If the pet is rested, the average frequency of using the combat abilities will be increased by 3 turns. This alert state lasts from 1 hour up to 5 hours, depending on the pet's colour:
Players who have the Medal of Worship of the Pet Patrons can disable up to 3 abilities of a pet. This can be done in the Pets menu in the backpack, in the Capabilities tab by clicking on the small icon appearing on the chosen ability.

Upgrading pets |
|
Once you befriend a pet, you can help them develop their abilities by a special training. The upgrades will improve pets' abilities in combat and the length of alert state after summoning a rested pet. The pets' appearance will also change – you can check how pets look at all stages of training in the pet register.
Pets can be improved by using the Improve button in the Pet tab in your backpack. For most types of training you will need a certain amount of gold:
Some pets will however require a special training:
- Each upgrade of the Cerrador, Scorpolion, Eldrick and Petya Bug pets will cost 1 Golden Horseshoe of Luck instead of gold. The training can be completed in the pet tab in your backpack or via a dialogue with the blacksmith.
- Dzerik's training will require Spark of the Heavenly Fires: 1 spark for basic training, 2 sparks for advanced training, 3 sparks for masterful training and 4 sparks for elite training.
- Otherworld Elemental pets training medallions can be purchased in the Stone Architect's Shop for 50 (basic training) and 100 (advanced training) Mystical Elementals, which can be created in the Citadel's Magic Pot. For the masterful training medallion, you will need 100 Mystical Elementals and 1 Charged Energy Cube (which can be manufactured in the Citadel's Magic Pot level 6). Elite training will require 4 Charged Energy Cubes.
- Fire Monkey and Mechanical Tuver can be upgraded by participating in the Seasonal Events.
- Training medallions (which can be used instead of the regular way of upgrading pets) for Crystallon pets, Mummy, Bear Cub and Irbis can be purchased during events.
- Treasure Spirit Medallion: You need five Spirit Medallion Fragment, which when joined together will create a Treasure Spirit Medallion. Treasure Spirit Medallion and 100 Elfin Coin are exchangable in the Treasure Hunters Shop for Treasure Spirit Medallion. With a grey pet and 500 pcs Elfin Coin you can upgrade the pet to green. To make a blue/purple/red pet, you need 1000 pcs Elfin Coin/1500 pcs Elfin Coin/2000 pcs Elfin Coin accordingly.
Special Scrolls of Pet Training can be purchased in the Premium Shop, Jesters Treasury, Gladiator Store, and during special events. Scroll of Basic Pet Training can be obtained for completing Mischievous Mentorious quest (the quest is available for a short time every year in April). The scrolls cannot be used for special event pets (it is possible to use them to upgrade the Otherworld pets).
