There are various different sets of armour in the game, which are divided into different rarities. Basic, Green, Blue and Purple, also known as Artful.

Cuirass

Occasionaly A Trading Journey across the Seven Seas event occurs. During Phase I of the event, Galash the Merchant and Squire Voldemar exchange various resources for IOU. The exchange rate of resources for IOU can be found here

During Phase III of the event players who have reached atleast level 3 will be able to exchange the IOU for various goods, including Artful equipment. The prices for Artful equipment can be found here

Cuisses

To get Artful Cuisses you need to exchange Ludial Chain Link for them. To do so you need to visit Koeshu the Occultist for magmars and Thanos the Necromancer for humans.

You can obtain Ludial Chain Link from Closed Mithril Chest, Reward Casket and when taking part in the Mirror Magic event.

To get Artful Chainmails you need to improve your Trophy Hunters reputation.

Bracers

To get Artful Bracers you need to take part in the Crossed Swords event and place in the top 3. For placing in the top 3 you will get a Tournament Winner Certificate corresponding your level. The certificate can only be exchanged for bracers matching the level of the certificate. To do so you need to visit the City Fair.

Helmets

To get Artful Helmets for levels 5-15 you need to buy them from the Gnome Spirit for Valuable Gnome Coin. The cost of the helmets for level 5-15 varies depending on what you bring to the gnome.

To get Artful Helmets for level 20 you need to bring the Gnome Spirit 999 Mark of Change and a corresponding blue helmet.

To obtain Mark of Change you need to bring the Gnome SpiritShiass Substance and various items. The list of combinations can be found below

Dimming and Illuminating

Illuminated armour give a slightly higher bonus to your attributes, but you will need a valour rank to wear it, while dimmed armour pieces do not require a valour rank. It is also worth noting that illuminated and dimmed items belong to different sets.

To illuminate an item, you will need to bring certain number of fragments as a payment. For dimming process the Shadow and Lady Dawn will ask for chess sets.
